    The goal of this presentation is to provide research-based information to help the golf course superintendent better understand foliar nutrition, maximize positive benefits and integrate foliar nutrition as a critical component of turfgrass fertility and integrated pest management practices.

    The goal of this presentation is to help the golf course superintendent better understand the physical, chemical and biological properties of golf greens as they age and apply this knowledge to develop efficient green management strategies for their golf course.
  • What's New in Herbicides and Why Should I Care?
    Advances in herbicide technology have resulted in the availability of new chemistries with reduced toxicity to non-target species and increased effectiveness, new formulations and creative new combination products for the turfgrass professional. This presentation will be brief overview of post-emergence products recently tested at UNL and strategies for effective use.
  • Turfgrass Cultivation - it's more than pokin' holes and throwing dirt!
    Cultivation equipment and its use has been cussed and discussed since its inception. This presentation will attempt to answer the age old question “when should I use a which piece of equipment and why” from tee to green.
Dr. Roch Gaussoin is a professor of Agronomy and Horticulture and Extension Turfgrass Specialist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Gaussoin has conducted research on weed and turfgrass management for more than 25 years. He has published more than 80 scientific papers; over 100 trade journal articles and is a frequent invited speaker to turfgrass conferences nationally and internationally. Dr. Gaussoin has received the Outstanding Young Scientist Award from the University of Nebraska and the Presidential Award of Merit from the Nebraska Turfgrass Association. In 2008 he received the Fred V. Grau Turfgrass Science Award, in recognition of significant career contributions in turfgrass science.
