Benefits of the RMGCSA Membership

The Reporter
Stay Current on industry issues with the official publication of the RMGCSA.  Informational articles, happenings within the region and superintendent work tips make this a valuable resource.

Education
The RMGCSA offers to its members education and fellowship at our monthly meetings throughout the year.  The association also offers its members the opportunity to obtain CEUs required by the Colorado Department of Agriculture as well as regional GCSAA seminars.

Networking Opportunities
RMGCSA meetings and events provide a good oppurtunity to meet informally with your professional peers and gather important information as well as share ideas.  Superintendents and assistant superintendents share information, solve problems and learn more about the local golf course industry by attending RMGCSA meetings.  The value of your dues could easily be recovered by finding one inexpensive solution to a problem you are having on your golf course while attending an RMGCSA meeting.  We have over 700 members in 37 states who offer support and services to the golf course management industry.

GCSAA Seminars
Each year the RMGCSA hosts a GCSAA seminar.  These one or two day seminars are comprehensive in their coverage of technical and business subjects.  All participants receive CEU credits upon passing the seminar test.

Employment
As a member of RMGCSA you can utilize our website if you are seeking other employment opportunities.  The RMGCSA offers help to those members who are seeking other opportunities through job listings available on the website.

Updates from GCSAA
GCSAA update information is provided to the RMGCSA membership through The Reporter.  Information about GCSAA's conference and show, annual election, and upcoming seminars in the region are also highlighted at RMGCSA meetings.

Camaraderie and Golf Events
Participating in the RMGCSA supports your profession on a local basis and provides opportunity to make professional acquaintances  in the local golf course industry.  Golf outings organized by the RMGCSA provide more than an enjoyable release from the tensions of everyday work.  Playing golf at local courses stimulates discussion and the sharing of ideas about golf course management techniques and golf course maintenance problem solving.

Affiliate Membership
Membership is not just for Superintendents, businesses involved in selling related products or services in the turfgrass industry are encouraged to join.  Affiliate members enjoy all the benefits listed above and are only limited in their ability to vote in association elections.  Affiliate members have the added benefit of promoting their product and/or services by advertising in The Reporter, the annual directory or by sponsoring a monthly meeting.
