Become a Member of RMGCSA
Welcome to membership in the RMGCSA. As a member of the RMGCSA, you are part of one of the largest and strongest chapters in the GCSAA. As you read on down, you will find some pertinent information that will help you to become an active member.
The RMGCSA holds numerous educational meetings throughout the year at golf courses and other meeting sites. These dates will vary through the year dependent on the availability of the golf course. During the golfing season, our educational meetings include playing golf at the host course with lunch provided. It is our policy and the policy of the golf courses we play, that “spikeless” shoes will be worn. With tournament golf being played, you will need a GHIN number to be eligible for prizes. We provide other educational opportunities during the winter.
Please note that all members must conform to a golf dress code during golf outings. Proper dress for lectures is announced in advance by the host superintendent. All meetings will be published in the “Reporter” in advance with information on dates, times, golf, lunch arrangements and dress code. You will be expected to make your reservation in advance according to the instructions on the reservation form in the “Reporter” and on the Web site. You can now make your meeting reservation on-line by registering on the events page. It is a secure site that will take your credit card number and give you a receipt once your reservation is accepted. Once the reservation deadline is past you may call the office to be put on a wait list for the event.
The Reporter, the Association newsletter, is mailed the first of each month, with the exception of October through April for a total of eight issues.
We are pleased that you have chosen to be a member of the Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superintendents Association, which was founded in 1936. We hope that you will share your knowledge and experiences and you will be an active member of this prestigious group, which has a long history of professionalism and camaraderie.
Cordially,
Dave Cahalane, President
The Club at Bear Dance
